GateMan.EXE is Mr. Famous' first NetNavi in the MegaMan Battle Network series. Mr. Famous uses him to test the Netbattlers at the Official Center. GateMan has a gate on his chest that opens up to attack you.
- Gate Cannon: His chest opens up and a cannon appears. The cannon fires a blast down the row it's in. To dodge, move to the row above or below.
- Gate Soldier: His chest opens up and birds com out to attack you. This attack is tricky because the birds follow you. But they can be destroyed. A Battle Chip with wide range would be ideal for this task.
- Remote Gate: He summons a gate which goes in front of GateMan's front column. It moves up and down the rows as you would, blocking any attempt to attack GateMan. To get around this problem, use another chip with wide range, that can bypass the gate.
He appears as a Zoanoroid. He finds Z NumberMan.EXE and interrogates him about Trill.EXE, learning that Trill is with MegaMan.EXE. Z GateMan then invades the computer system of a ship which Lan is on, waiting for an opportunity to get Trill.
Being a follower of Falzar, Z GateMan is not pleased when Z QuickMan.EXE, a follower of Gregar, attacks the same ship, and so helps Lan dispose of him. At the same time, he demands that Lan hand over Trill, or else he will not release Yuichiro Hikari and Mayl, who are both trapped in a submarine and are running out of air. Attacking Z GateMan is not feasible, either, as he has control of the ship's systems.
Trill eventually gives himself up to Z GateMan despite Lan's and Iris' protests. Even when Z GateMan has Trill, he still proceeds to attack MegaMan. Trill reaches out for MegaMan, involuntarily causing them to fuse, resulting in MegaMan using Beast Out. G-Beast MegaMan then chases Z GateMan back and forth through the system.Z GateMan takes advantage of G-Beast MegaMan's berserk state to cause him to damage the systems. Soon, G-Beast MegaMan grows tired of playing cat-and-mouse, and changes to F-Beast MegaMan, swiftly catching up to Z GateMan and deleting him.
